One of you just found out. The other may still be trying to explain. Neither of you knows what to do next.

One of you may be checking a phone, replaying a sentence, or trying to understand what is true.

The other may be searching for words, afraid that almost anything they say could make this worse.

You may feel shocked, disoriented, furious, ashamed, strangely calm, or unable to think beyond tonight.

You do not have to decide the future of the relationship today.

I help individuals and couples slow things down, understand what needs attention now, and begin working through what comes next with honesty and care.

Specialized therapy for infidelity, betrayal trauma, hidden behavior, accountability, relationship repair, and the difficult space between discovery and a thoughtful decision.

You May Not Know What Kind of Help You Need Yet

  • Have just found out
  • Be the person whose secret came to light
  • Want help even though their partner is not ready
  • Want to understand why they made these choices
  • Be facing a repeated discovery
  • Be unsure whether individual or couples therapy is the right place to begin

These are different situations. They need different conversations.

Start Where You Are

I Just Found Out

Understand what to do first, and what does not need to be decided tonight.

You Had the Secret

I am not here to shame or judge you. I am curious about you.

Your Partner Isn’t Ready

You cannot do both sides of a relationship. You can still get help.

You Want to Understand Why This Happened

Wanting to save the relationship. Wanting to help your partner. Wanting to understand your choices. Wanting to stop repeating the pattern. Accountability without humiliation.

This Isn’t the First Time

You are not foolish because you hoped things had changed. Hope was not your mistake.

Not sure where you fit?

You do not need to choose the correct kind of therapy before scheduling.

Scheduling a first session does not require you to decide the future of the relationship.

Resources for the First Few Days

The First 24 Hours After Discovery

What needs attention tonight, what can wait, how to care for the body, protect children, recognize danger, and avoid making an already painful situation more chaotic.

The First 72 Hours After Discovery

A practical plan for the first three days: safety, health, outside contact, temporary boundaries, children, work, money, emerging information, and what still does not need to be decided.

Reading may help you feel less lost. It may not be enough.

A guide cannot take in everything happening in your situation, weigh conflicting information, or help you make decisions that depend on the full context.

This Does Not Have to Become a Courtroom

After betrayal, couples can become opposing sides.

One person is trying to establish what is true. The other may be explaining, defending, minimizing, withholding, or collapsing into shame.

“I think in teams.”

Therapy does not require you to pretend both people are equally responsible for the betrayal.

Therapy may help with:

  • Honest conversation
  • Accountability
  • Relationship repair
  • Decision-making
  • Separation or co-parenting when needed

I Am Not Here to Choose the Good Person and the Bad Person

I work with:

  • The person who was betrayed
  • The person who broke trust
  • Couples who want to repair
  • Couples who are uncertain
  • Individuals whose partner will not participate

“I am not here to shame or judge you. I am curious about you.”

Curiosity does not mean minimizing impact or assigning equal responsibility.

You do not need to arrive with a plan.

You do not need:

  • A perfect timeline
  • Every answer
  • Agreement about what happened
  • A decision to stay or leave
  • Certainty about individual versus couples therapy

You do not have to know how this ends before you begin.

The first step is not automatically deciding whether to stay, leave, forgive, separate, or rebuild.

The first step is understanding what happened, what needs attention now, and what the next useful step may be.
